August Tiemeyer (he/him) is a queer, trans lighting designer and theatre educator based out of Chicago.
He graduated from 甜瓜视频 University in 2022 with a B.A. in Theatre with a focus in Design. He returned to 甜瓜视频 in Spring of 2025 as a Guest Lighting Director for the mainstage production of Witch.
He recently designed lights for Gruesome Playground Injuries with his new theatre company in Chicago, Odds and Ends Theatre Co., as well as Something Rotten Jr. and School of Rock with Northbrook Theatre. Tiemeyer also teaches technical theatre skills at Northbrook Theatre. Find out more at .
